In oil-filled transformers, oil is used for insulation and cooling, while in dry-type transformers, insulation materials such as resin or air are preferred. Dry type transformers offer advantages such as being environmentally friendly, requiring less maintenance and being safer. Power transformers are widely used in energy transmission, distribution and industrial applications. They are especially critical to ensure efficient and reliable operation of electrical power systems.
